Naming Zen Cart Images
Zen Cart follows a naming method for adding additional images and having zen
cart automatically recognize them. Your main image name is considered the base
name.
example:
nikonCamera.jpg
nikonCamera is the base name.
To name the zen cart additional images you would add an underscore to the base name
with an additional identifying name
example:
nikonCamera_back.jpg
nikonCamera_side.jpg
if you want your additional images to display in a particular order you could
name them ending with numbers or letters
example:
nikonCamera_1.jpg
nikonCamera_2.jpg
or
nikonCamera_a.jpg
nikonCamera_b.jpg
However if you had other nikon cameras to list, you will want to give each of
the main images more distinctive base names to avoid image display problems
across numerous listings, with images from other listings showing on the wrong
product pages.
These display problems would occure if you name your other camera images as
such
example:
nikonCamera_model3.jpg - base image
nikonCamera_model3_1.jpg - additional
image
nikonCamera_model3_2.jpg - additional image
Here you see the model 3 camera has the same base name, nikonCamera, as in
our first examples.
In conclusion, name your base image:
example base:
jadeRing.jpg
example additional images:
jadeRing_1.jpg
jadeRing_2.jpg
And be sure to give images of similar products more distinctive base names.
